We told you yesterday that Megan Moroney and Kenny Chesney were releasing a collaboration, "You Had To Be There." It's a song Megan wrote after touring with Chesney, intending it as a "thank you" to the country superstar. Her hope was that Kenny would sing on the record with her...but she had to work up the courage to ask him first. She had to down a couple drinks before telling him "Umm, I wrote you a song, here ya go! Just know that I appreciated you so much for taking me on tour, and that's what this song means to me." Then she popped the question. "We don't have to cut it if you hate it," Moroney told Chesney. "I don't wanna make you feel weird, I promise." Obviously, Kenny was touched...the song (featuring both of them) comes out next Friday.
