It was 17 years ago when Hootie & The Blowfish lead singer Darius Rucker first ventured into country music with his debut single, "Don't Think I Don't Think About It." Now, in 2025, a country star is teaming up with the veteran rock group. Scotty McCreery has announced he's collabing with the South Carolina band for a song that draws from both his straight-ahead country sound and their breakthrough song "Hold My Hand." "Teamed up with my friends @hootieofficial for our new song Bottle Rockets. Out everywhere this THURSDAY at 12p ET!" he posted on Instagram, along with a video clip featuring Hootie as they looked in their video for the 1994 hit song, along with Scotty playing guitar.
