A Texas man, Demery Ardell Wilson, has just sued Whataburger for $1 million for an alleged issue over onions. Wilson claims that on July 24, 2024, he ordered his meal without onions. When he bit into his burger, it had diced onions on it causing an allergic reaction that required medical attention.
Wilson claims that the onions caused ‘serious personal injuries’ and he additionally claims that Whataburger did not uphold the “appropriate standard of care.” He also says that his burger with onions was a “manufacturing defect.”
In response to the suit, Whataburger denies any wrongdoing and is demanding “strict proof” from Wilson. In another twist, it turns out that Wilson previously sued Sonic Drive-In claiming the same issue with onions and an allergic reaction.
