So Kelsea Ballerini took a tumble over the weekend while performing. But what do you say about a country star taking a spill and injuring themselves on their way to the stage? Meet Thomas Rhett. On the same night Ballerini was falling in Toronto, Rhett was doing the same thing closer to home. Rhett was asked by Christian artist Forrest Frank to be a surprise guest at his Sunday show in Nashville. With Rhett in the nosebleed seats, Frank was to call him out and have him run down to join him on stage. It went as scripted, except for the the part where Rhett fell while descending the steps. He bounced up and hobbled to the stage, in obvious pain, and performed Frank's "Nothing Else" (complete with Rhett hopping on one foot while he sang). In a backstage video he posted on Instagram, Rhett explained that he actually broke his ankle making his way to the stage, while being wheeled out of the venue by his wife Lauren in a wheelchair.
