Lulu Roman, Star Of "Hee-Haw," Passes

One of the few remaining stars of "Hee Haw," comedian Lulu Romanhas passed. The singer was a regular on the weekly country music variety show from 1969 to 1993. While primarily known to the public for her weekly stints on the show, Roman was also an accomplished gospel singer. She recorded a long series of Southern gospel albums, winning a Dove Award in 1985 and being inducted into the Country Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1999. Roman was 78; no cause of death was announced.
