Major league teams hope players roll in game ready for Cactus and Grapefruit league games which get underway Friday at fields across Florida and Arizona as teams begin prepping for MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL 151stseason. Exhibition season begins at noon central when the Yankees take the field against the Orioles down in Sarasota. Then later in the day, three more games get underway. The White Sox go up against the Cubs. The Royals take on the Rangers and the D-Backs play the Rockies all shortly after 2:00. THis weekend coaches begin evaluating players to help throw rosters together for Major League Baseball’s opening day March 26. This year's season opener will be the earliest start to the season in the League's history. Teams hope the earlier start will help balance out the schedule, give players more rest between games and keep everything running smoothly.
