The Recommended Age For Men To Stop Doing Specific Things

At some point, every man has been told by someone that it’s time he grew out of doing something. At Alpha M, they compiled a list of some of those very things, and have attached an age where it’s high time he moves away from that behavior. How do you match up?

  • Living With Your Parents – 25, unless you’re attending school, caring for your parents, or another valid reason
  • Taking Money From Your Parents – 23, unless they’re helping you out as you pursue a doctorate or graduate school
  • Blaming Everyone Else For Your Behavior – By the age of 25, it’s safe to say your life is your responsibility
  • Smoking Weed – By the age of 22, it’s time to move along to healthier forms of recreation…though in the era of legalization, an occasional toke can be overlooked
  • Video Games – Unless you’re making serious bank as a live streamer, 24 is about the time you should make daily gaming marathons a thing of the past. Recreational playing isn’t a bad thing, though…just move along from it being a lifestyle
  • Not Taking Care Of Your Body – Your future self will thank you if you make fitness a priority by the age of 22
  • Tending To Mental Health – There isn’t one person who can’t benefit from some help in the mental health area, and 25 is a good place to invite that journey
  • Partying – To be clear, everyone loves a good party, but the days of making it an every weekend thing should probably be done by the time you’re 27
  • Financial Responsibility – By the age of 26, you should have some sort of knowledge about the right and wrong ways of taking care of your cash
  • Hooking Up – It’s fun while you’re in college, but by the time 28 rolls around you start looking sad
  • Dressing Like A Teenager – When you’re getting into the days of having a “big boy” job, you need to start wearing “big boy” clothes
  • Losing The Dead-End Jobs – When you need money, obviously a job is a job, but by the time 30 hits you, it would be ideal if you had some semblance of an idea as to your career path and objectives
  • Waiting For Perfect Timing – That time is now, and it’s never too soon to take control as opposed to waiting for luck to hand it to you
