A 62-year-old Pulaski man is free on a quarter of a million dollar bond after being arrested last Thursday on Statutory rape. As I reported to you Friday Michael Dewayne Holley was arrested after Pulaski Police executed a search warrant at Holley’s home on Kay Drive in Pulaski. Last year Holley went to Alabama and married a 16-year-old girl with the consent of her parents. In Alabama an adult can marry a 16-year-old with parental consent, but, in Tennessee such a marriage is illegal. When Holley and his teen bride came back to Tennessee, authorities launched an investigation that led to Holley’s arrest. The Tennessee department of Children’s Services is now also involved in the case dealing with the girl who is now 17 and her parents. The investigation is on-going and more charges may be forthcoming.
