Computer system glitch causing billing issues

Some Lincoln County water customers have been having issues paying their water bill since a computer system upgrade two weeks ago.

Customers of the Lincoln County Public Utility water system have been reporting issues paying their bill recently. I spoke with Joey Clark with the Lincoln County Board of Public Utilities who told me they did a system upgrade about two weeks ago that have caused some customers accounts to reject automated payments. Despite some social media accounts, Clark said no customer was close to having their water service cut off for non-payment. Water service representatives are working to notify customers they know have been impacted by this system upgrade to make them aware of the problem and help them correct it. Clark said if any customer has a question or concern they should call the water department at 931-433-2259.
