Fayetteville Polie Asking for Your Help in Finding Scammers

Scammers working in Lincoln County under investigation.

Fayetteville Police are asking for your help in locating some possible scammers. Investigators received reports this morning that someone was going door to door soliciting money supposedly to help the Fayetteville Fire Department and possibly also the Lincoln County volunteer fire departments. Neither the Fayetteville Fire Department nor the county volunteers have authorized any door to door fund raising efforts. Police are asking if anyone comes to your door asking for money for the fire departments to call 931-438-7771 immediately.
