Fayetteville is expected to receive three of TVA’s School Uplift Grants this Friday. TVA will hold a live streamed Youtube channel event at 9 o’clock Central Time Friday morning to announce all of the statewide winners. Grants range from $10,000 to $210,000 and amounts are dependent on the score each school earned by reducing energy use through simple, every day habit changes and by engaging students, faculty, staff and community throughout the year-long program. Additionally, a needs-based assessment for each school determined which buildings would result in the greatest energy savings. The grants will assist with energy upgrades and help improve learning environments.
