Dangerously high heat indices expected through 8 pm tonight
A heat advisory remains in effect today for Lincoln, Moore, Franklin and Giles Counties. The National Weather Service say hot temperature and high humidity will push heat indices to between 105 and 108-degrees through 8 p.m. tonight. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun and check on elderly neighbors and relatives.
