Lincoln County Fire Rescue Called To An Apartment Fire

Firefighters from four Lincoln County Fire Rescue stations battled an apartment fire on Luxor Lane south of East Prospect Road this morning.

Firefighters from four Lincoln County Fire Rescue stations battled an apartment fire on Luxor Lane south of East Prospect Road this morning. The call came in about 8:15 with the caller saying flames were visible. Lincoln County Fire Chief and EMA Director Doug Campbell praised the firefighters for quickly knocking down the blaze preventing it from spreading to four adjoining apartments. Campbell said, “Thanks to an aggressive interior attack the fire was very quickly brought under control.” Heavy fire damage was done to the apartment where the fire started with minimal smoke damage to then other four apartment units. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.  Campbell went on to say, “ In these extreme heat conditions thankfully no firemen were injured and deserve a huge thank you for their efforts.” Lincoln County EMS Paramedics also responded to the scene along with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, Fayetteville Public Utilities and the Lincoln County Board of Public Utilities.
