You may recall on June 24,2025 a twin engine Cessna 310 airplane was involved in  an incident at the Fayetteville Municipal Airport. At the time what we learned was that as the plane was taking off the pilot experienced a partial loss of power and tried to land but ended up in the weeds beside the runway. The website Aviation 24/7 released the findings of the NTSB inspectors who concluded there were multiple mechanical deficiencies and lack of required maintenance prior to the pilot purchasing the aircraft a year earlier. Although the pilot noted a few of the deficiencies, he choose to attempt to fly the uncertified aircraft. The resulting loss of power forced him to land in the weeds resulting in substantial damage to both wings and the fuselage. As I reported to you at the time of the incident, the pilot was not hurt.
