Shooting in Fayetteville Injures One Woman, Another In Jail

A 44-year-old woman is in a Huntsville Hospital recovering from a gunshot wound

A shooting on Brogan Avenue in Fayetteville left one woman hospital, another behind bars. Fayetteville Police were called to a home on Brogan Avenue about 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon. They found a 44-year4-old woman suffering what police described as a non-life threatening gunshot wound. She was taken to HH Lincoln Regional Hospital and later transferred to a Huntsville Hospital for treatment. Police Investigator Steve Gentry was the lead investigator in this case. After taking a suspect into custody a short time later for questioning he arrested and charged 35-year-old Jasmine Britton with two counts of Criminal Homicide Indictment, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and vandalism. Britton was boo0ked into the Lincoln County jail shortly after 7 o’clock last night with bonds totaling more than 105-thousand-dollars. The victims name has not been released.
