The fire this past weekend tested the water infrastructure
The fire this past weekend tested the water infrastructure Fayetteville Public Utilities has been upgrading. The fire department used more than a million and a half gallons of water fighting that blaze. Britt Dye, CEO of FPU told me Tuesday morning the tanks are full once again despite finding another leak at the fire scene. I learned this morning that both Tullahoma and Manchester have been dealing with water issues since the winter storm. Not only did they have several major leaks their main supplier, Duck River Electric had to turn water off to both cities while they made repairs of their own. The good news, water has been restored and although Tullahoma is still repairing a few leaks, their tanks are refilling and returning to normal.
