The Huntsville National Weather Service office has replaced the Winter Storm Watch with a Winter Weather Advisory for southern middle Tennessee from midnight Friday night through 6pm Sunday.

The Huntsville National Weather Service office has replaced the Winter Storm Watch with an Ice Storm Warning for Lauderdale, Colbert and Franklin counties in NW Alabama and a Winter Weather Advisory for the remainder of north Alabama and portions of southern middle Tennessee from midnight Friday night through 6pm Sunday.
In the Ice Storm Warning area accumulations of sleet and freezing rain exceeding .25” are possible creating hazardous travel conditions and could cause power outages as ice builds up on trees and power lines.
Impacts will be lower within the Winter Weather Advisory where less ice is expected but slick roads and isolated power outages could also occur.
