MEET BOB, YOUR SHOW HOST

Bob Boyer lives in Huntsville, Alabama and started his radio career at WLRH Public Radio in High School, then began part time work at WBHP in 1986. He worked at several radio stations in the Birmingham, Alabama radio market in college and spent a short time at WAHR in Huntsville. Most of his 40 year broadcasting career saw Bob working behind the scenes in local and network television as a producer, director and manager.

In May of 2025 John Malone brought Bob on as Production Manager at Elk River Media and Bob was named as Station Manager in January of 2026. While handling anything from programming music to making sure the toilet paper is stocked up at the radio stations, Bob most enjoys the occasional on-air shift filling in for on-air staff on vacations.

Bob is very excited to launch the Classic Country Ten at 10 show as an tribute to countdown shows he listened to as a young man dreaming of a job as a Disc Jockey. Bob has also been a professional Santa Claus for 18 years. He also is a tour guide for the Huntsville Ghost Walk in the fall and loves to stay busy. Bob once tried using his last name on the radio and realized people seemed to think he was saying "Bob Wire", maybe that's a good name for a Classic Country DJ. Bob is can't wait to get to know his radio friends in Fayetteville and Southern Tennessee.
